Schedule Making
It can be hard to balance your social life, work life, and children if you have them. Making a schedule is one of the first steps to take when becoming a streamer. Having a streaming schedule posted on your platform can help the viewers understand when you will most likely be online, even if you aren't going to. Start by jotting down when you eat, go to work, sleep, and the days that are the most free for you. This can help you figure out the best times for you to start streaming.

For example, Client #1 and I were trying to figure out a schedule for them to stream. At the time, the client was having trouble figuring out what days would work the best for them so I then had them fill out the times that they are busy then the times where they prefer to relax. The chart below shows empty times of the week where they felt they could stream. We had also discussed taking days off and they decided to make them Mondays and Thursdays, but still left an empty space to stream just in case they changed their mind and still wanted to stream that day.
What do you want to do?
Once you have a thought out schedule figured out, it's time to think about what type of content you want to share. Start brainstorming by jotting down your likes, passions, and even the topics that you research on a daily basis. You can even get inspiration on Twitch itself by watching other people's streams. One thing to note is that you want to pick a topic that interests you but also interests other people, this includes streaming video games, music, art, podcasts, or even just chatting. If you happen to be interested in streaming a topic that has no audience, it might be a good idea to think of something else.
Client #1 and I had discussed what their interests were and they had mentioned that they love video games. Knowing this helped me understand the type of content they wanted to create. The client had also told me that at that time they had limited options and their only able to stream from their Xbox, so this meant that they could only play Xbox specific games when wanting to stream. At that point they had decided to stream games such as Rocket League, Assassin's Creed games, and Halo. By knowing what games they plan on streaming, I then knew that their target audience would range based on what game they are playing.
